OUR STORY

Formerly known as City ID, The July’s journey started with three locations in Amsterdam but now we’re taking our unique concept around the world. Each location has its own point of view and story to tell, but what remains consistent is our welcoming atmosphere and eye for detail.

We add to the locations we’re in, connecting guests to great people and places, and ensure that each property we build has strong eco-credentials and operational practices. All of this helps you find your flow at The July - a place where you can switch from work to play in the blink of a G&T.

OUR NAME

July is that perfect mix of work and play - a month where everything seems doable. There’s a buzz and energy to it. And to you. You’re in the zone - able to effortlessly balance rest and adventure, me-time and connecting time. You’re writing new chapters of your story and living in the moment. 

We want every guest to feel a July-type energy and excitement at every one of our locations around the world. Hence the name.

ID Aparthotel by The July

The adventure started in 2012, where we built Amsterdam’s first ever apartment-hotel. The area of Sloterdijk, now an up and coming area of the city, was just beginning to find it’s pulse. 

We opened ID Aparthotel with 28 apartments and quickly grew to 127 apartments, studio's to 4 bedroom apartments, a vibrant city hub. Over the years, we’ve welcomed tens of thousands of guests who search for convenient, spacious city stays.

Since launching ID Aparthotel, we’ve evolved our best learnings and premium product elements into The July Boat & Co and The July Twenty Eight. Our feeling, warmth and human touch stays the same across the whole of The July Group and ID Aparthotel serves as our effortless and upper-midscale venue. That’s why, ID Aparthotel by The July.
