Behind the Scenes with Jade Groenewegen

At The July, every day is an adventure filled with challenges, and delightful surprises. We’re excited to share a peek behind the scenes and introduce you to Jade Groenewegen, The July’s Content Producer, who brings our brand to life. From morning rituals to unexpected bursts of inspiration, here’s a glimpse into the heart of our workday.
How do you kick off your day? Any morning rituals that set your tone?
“My morning coffee is the most important part of starting my day—that’s the reason I get up on time. It has to be a cappuccino with oat milk and a splash of caramel syrup. I take my time with it, spending a full half-hour getting ready while carrying my coffee with me throughout my apartment until the very last sip.”
Whether it’s a peaceful pause or a burst of energy, Jade’s morning ritual offers a slow, mindful start that many of us can relate to. The perfect pace to start each day on the right foot.
What is one thing you do to recharge during a busy day?
“Connecting with my colleagues—it truly brings me joy. Whether they’ve discovered a new café in the city or have fresh ideas for The July, these conversations always give me new insights and a boost of energy to get back to work.”
Recharging during tour day looks different to all of us. Taking these little breaks to connect not only recharges her batteries but also sparks new ideas, these are the activities that keep our productivity high.
How do you balance work, creativity, and daily life?
“I don’t… haha. No, honestly, I’m in my final year of studying Creative Business while also working multiple days at The July. Luckily, most of my tasks can be done online, so I can open my laptop anywhere—whether I’m on a train or quickly settling in at a coffee shop. I genuinely enjoy my work, and I get to be creative while doing it. Planning is also key. Making sure my deadlines are clear helps ensure that work doesn’t interfere with my social life.”
Maintaining a tight schedule whilst keeping your spark alive proves challenging for many of us. Jade’s mix of flexibility and structure shows us that balancing a busy schedule is all about finding the right rhythm. Unveiling those unique habits or techniques may inspire those busy programmes.
Can you share a memorable moment from your day—a surprising twist or challenge that sparked a new idea?
“Seeing EGC (Employee-Generated Content) really take off! We have an incredible team at The July, and this is something the world should see. I’d love to create more visual content to introduce our staff through social media, giving our followers a behind-the-scenes look at the amazing people who make The July what it is.”
This moment of pride, a boost to Jade’s day, birthed from a change in approach to her department's marketing strategy. Sometimes, challenges turn into opportunities for innovation.
What is one unexpected piece of advice you’ve learned on the job?
“Your best ideas don’t always come when you're actively working, sometimes, they happen over coffee chats, in a train seat, or while scrolling through social media.”
The key is to remain open-minded to inspiration wherever you are. Whether it’s a brainstorming session with colleagues or spotting a trend while on the go, some of the most valuable insights come when you least expect them.
Jade’s day in the life reveals how at The July turns everyday moments into sparks of inspiration. Whether it's savoring a strong cup of coffee, finding balance in a busy schedule, or discovering a creative solution in the midst of chaos, our team’s experiences remind us that every workday has its own unique rhythm.
